The IBPS Clerk exam 2020 is conducted by The Institute for Banking Personnel Selection every year. The IBPS is the authoritative body for assessing recruiting candidates in public sector banks in India.

On October 20, 2020, IBPS has released a supplementary notification stating that the online registration window for the IBPS Clerk post has been reopened. Aspirants who could not complete their registration process can now visit the official website can apply online.

The window to apply online shall be made available between October 23, to November 6, 2020.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility criteria :

 

Age limit as per the IBPS Clerk notification is given below:

This age limit is for people belonging to the unreserved/general category.

Candidates belonging to other categories have certain age limit relaxation :

The candidates applying for the exam should fulfill the following criteria:

Citizenship of India

Subjects of Nepal or Bhutan

Tibetan Refugee who arrived before January 1, 1962.

A person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Burma(Myanmar), Vietnam, or East African countries of the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, or Ethiopia to permanently settle in India

All candidates who are not Indian citizens have to produce a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India before their appointment.

  • Educational Qualification

Candidates must have at least an undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • Pre-Exam Training

As per the official notification, the PreExam Training for 2020 recruitment will only be conducted if it is safe and feasible as per the current situation.

Note :

The IBPS Clerk Recruitment gives an idea about the number of vacancies for different posts and different categories of candidates.

Over 2500 vacancies have been released for 2020-21 recruitment, which is comparatively low from the previous years. The total number of vacancies as per the notification released for the clerical cadre exam in 2019 was around 12075. And the total number of vacancies for the IBPS Clerk Exam in 2018-19  was around 7200.

Both the IBPS Clerk exams are conducted in English and Hindi except for the parts which test the English language ability of the candidate.

There is negative marking for incorrect answers. Each wrong answer attracts a penalty of ¼ of the marks allotted to that question.
