CV or Curriculum Vitae is an all-inclusive document. It consists of a variety of information. Creating a piece of strong information using a CV is challenging. Here we have a few common mistakes people make while preparing a CV.

  6. Using cliches – Do not use cliches. Write in your own words as much as possible. Avoid using common words like goof leadership skills, communication skills, etc. Rather use your own vocabulary to describe everything on your CV. Describe everything using new words and actually showing your work and yourself. Like if you gained communication skills, how and in which aspect did you gain those skills. In fact, this will impress the reader.
  7. Having gaps – Gaps have a negative impact on your profile. To support these gaps you can add the work you did between these gaps. These periods can be ones of learning new skills and self-development. Do mention these in the CV so as to avoid the creation of a negative impression.
