WBJEE is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board for admission in B. Tech and other UG courses in colleges and institutes of West Bengal. The offline exam has been taken by the board. The OMR and machine-read responses are released on 20th Feb 2020. Candidates are free to challenge the result if not satisfied till 20th Feb 2020. The exam consists of two papers and candidates are required to qualify in both the papers. The result is not out yet and it is estimated that the counseling will occur likely in the month of June. All the updates shall be made available on their official website. Candidates who want to take admission in medical will have to appear for NEET 2020 and for Architecture they will have to appear for NATA 2020.

WBJEE 2020 – Tips to fill up an application form
The application form for WBJEE 2020 was available online from 18th Oct 2019 till 13th Nov 2019. The candidates must download the form to fill it up. The form should be filled up carefully so that there are no mistakes. Follow these simple steps to fill up the application form.
- In order to do the registration, provide some basic personal details, mobile number, email ID, name of the course, city, and other mentioned information.
- After all these details are done, upload your recent photograph and signature in a given format.
- Once the details are filled, make a payment through Net Banking, Credit card, or by Debit Card of Rs. 700/- for general category and Rs 500/- for others.
- Once the payment is done, review your application form and then click on the submit button. Once the form is submitted, take a print of your application form and keep it for future reference.
- In case you have forgotten your application number then click on ‘forgot application number’ and enter the details asked for. Enter name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, and security pin to access your application number.
- In case the password is forgotten then follow these steps.
Reach the official website login window
Click on the ‘forgot password’.
Choose one of the three options from the screen.
Enter the correct detail and retrieve your password.
- In case the confirmation page is lost.
Candidates can avail of duplicate confirmation pages up to 60 days after the result is declared. Then after, it is not available.
The candidate will have to apply to WBJEE with a DD of Rs 500 in favor of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination payable at Kolkata.
- In case a correction is required in the application form then follow these steps.
The correction in the application form could be done in between 14th Nov 2019 to 16th Nov 2019.
All the details except Father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth can be edited.
This is the only chance for the correction therefore candidates should make it carefully.
- This is how the application form can be corrected.
You need to log in using the application number and password.
Do the editing where required.
Verify all the edited details and submit them.
Check, save, and download the corrected page.
- A discrepancy of signature or photograph need to be corrected within 24 hours to receiving the mail. If you fail to do so, the application will not be considered.
WBJEE 2020 – Eligibility
Candidates must check in the eligibility before filling up the application form. The eligibility criteria are different for different courses.
Criteria for B. Tech
- He/ she should be an Indian citizen
- He/ she should not be more than 17 years as of 31st December 2020. As such there is no upper limit but more Marine Engineering; the candidate should not be more than 25 years of age as on 31st Dec 2020.
- The candidate should be having passed 12th with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science from a recognized board.
- An aggregate of 45% should be obtained by the candidates.
Criteria for B. Arch
- He/ she should be an Indian citizen
- He/ she should not be more than 17 years as of 31st December 2020. As such, there is no upper limit.
- The candidate should be having passed 12th with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science from a recognized board.
- The aggregate marks should not be less than 50%.
- Candidates should have cleared NATA or paper 2 of JEE Main.
WBJEE 2020 – How to prepare for the exam
- Check the syllabus thoroughly. Each topic should be carefully studied for each subject. Focus on the syllabus only rather than doing anything more than required.
- Follow the exam pattern. Know the exam pattern properly because it will help you in preparing such kinds of questions for the examination.
- While preparation, ensure that you study all the topics well. If certain topics are not clear to you; you must ask your teacher or seniors for help. You must clear all your doubts.
- Make a daily timetable and follow it properly. You try that you don’t miss out on a single day without preparing it.
- Solve past papers and solve questions from the exercise given in the textbook. Past papers will help you in analyzing your strength and weakness.
- When you are preparing in detail for the examination, write down important points and formulas in a book, and keep the book handy during the last days of the exam.
- Do not stay up late at night for studies. Take good sleep and eat good food.

WBJEE 2020 – Results
The exam conducting authority declares WBJEE results online. The rank card contains the score of both the papers, total score, and rank of the candidate. The qualifying candidates will be called for counseling and admission process further. You can download the rank card by entering the application number, password, and security ID. Follow these steps to download your rank card.
- Open the official link wbjeeb.nic.in and look for the result link.
- Login using application number and password
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and take a print to keep it with you for further process.
In case you have lost your WBJEE 2020 result, follow these steps to get duplicate results. The duplicate rank card will be available up to 60 days from the day result was declared.
- Candidate should write to WBJEE authorities mentioning a name, the application number, email ID, mobile number, and attach a copy of the confirmation page.
- You will have to attach a DD of Rs 500/- in the favor of ‘West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination’ payable at Kolkata.
Do not that the allotment of seat is done solely on merit basis.
WBJEE 202 0 – Cutoff
The maximum rank required to get admission is the cutoff. The cutoff is released by the authorities at the time of seat allotment. The cutoff for each course will be different. The score cutoff is the aggregate score of paper 1 and paper 2 that a candidate will need to be a part of counseling and acquire a seat. The cutoff will also differ for different categories, courses, and selected institutes.
WBJEE 2020 – Admit card
Admit card is one of the important documents that a candidate needs to carry at the time of examination. The Admit card for WBJEE 2020 was released on 24th January 2020. The Admit card contains details like the name of the candidate, exam center, date and time of the exam, photograph, signature, and other instructions for the examination. Follow these steps to download the Admit card.
- Login using the WBJEE application number and password.
- You will find the Admit card download link.
- Download the admit card and take a print if all the details are correct. If any changes are needed then you will have to write to WBJEE authorities for doing the needful.
- Keep a copy of the Admit card safe for future reference.
In case the Admit card is lost or misplaced, then follow these steps for getting duplicate Admit card.
- Write an application with the details like name, the application number, email ID, mobile number, address, and send it to WBJEE authorities.
- Attach a DD of Rs 500/- in the favor of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board payable at Kolkata.
- A copy of the Admit Card will be sent.
WBJEE 2020 – Counseling
All the candidates who wish to take admission to the institute will have to attend counseling sessions. They will have to carry all the documents for verification at the counseling center. The authority will display the availability of seats at different institutes along with course details at the counseling venue. All the candidates will have to choose from there their desirable option. Look at these steps that need to be followed for the counseling process.
- The candidates will have to register online to be a part of the counseling process. There is a processing fee of Rs 500/- that can be paid online. Once this is done, identity code and password will be generated.
- All the participants must choose their desired course and college before the last date. You must lock the option and keep a copy for your reference.
- The allotment of the seat is done on the basis of merit. The candidates who are allotted seats must pay a provisional fee to confirm their admission. They should then report physically to the institute for document verification. If you do not report at the center then your seat will get canceled.
- After the first round of counseling, the second round of counseling occurs, and then the third rounds until all the seats are occupied. The last round is done online. You can check the list of documents that you will require at the counseling center.
