Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) at Bhubaneshwar is a deemed university that holds a good reputation for conducting engineering and other courses. It conducts its entrance exam for admission in many UG and PG courses like B. Tech, M. Tech, B. Arch, B. Sc, LLB, LLM, M. Sc, MCA, MBA, Mass Communication, Ph.D. and others. The application form was made available from November 16, 2010, until May 17, 2020, online. The exam dates will be announced soon depending upon the current situation. A candidate will have to enter their academic details, personal details, upload their photograph and signature along with the 10th mark sheet. There is no application fee.

KIITEE 2020 – Eligibility

  • Either pass or pursuing a 10+2 full-time course in the science stream.
  • Must have at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • A candidate should have done B.E or B. Tech or equivalent course in the respective branches of engineering with First Class or equivalent CGPA score/ First class MCA/ First Class M. Sc.
  • Candidates who have appeared for GATE are eligible to appear for the entrance exam. A candidate having a GATE score of more than 400 need not sit for the examination.
  • For each specialized M. Tech course that the institute offers, the eligibility criteria will vary. Hence a candidate should check out the eligibility criteria for their respective chosen course.

Candidates should be well aware of the examination pattern. The test will be conducted on the computer. Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks but each wrong is given negative 1 mark. Therefore, a candidate will have to be sure of the answers.

KIITEE 2020 – Cutoff

The cutoff is declared and decided by the university based on the performance of all the candidates. The cutoff marks are released separately for different categories and for different courses. The candidates are notified in both cases regarding the cutoff. All the candidates that have secured marks equivalent or above cutoff will be called up for counseling.

KIITEE 2020 – Counseling

Candidate counseling is done offline. The students will be notified of the same through their official website. The seat allotment is done on the basis of the candidate’s performance. The qualifying candidates who are called up counseling must reach the center with all the relevant documents on time. At the center, the process of verification of the documents is done. After the verification is done, the seat is allotted. Here’s the list of documents that a candidate must carry with them during counseling.

KIITEE 2020 – Admit card

Once the slot booking process starts, Admit cards are allotted to the candidates. The university does not send a hard copy of the Admit card. It can be downloaded from the official website. Candidates must take a print of the Admit card. It has to be carried along at the time of examination and later if called for counseling. Admit Card must be kept along until the process of admission is over.

KIITEE 2020 – Slot booking

All the candidates who want to give the exam will have to book the exam slot. The slot is booked on a first-come-first-served basis. The candidate has to select his/her date and time of the exam.  To do that, log in to the official website, enter application number, date of birth, and book your slot.
