Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT), is a technological university located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. Established in the year 2001, it is run by the Dhirubhai Ambani Foundation and is promoted by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. In about 15 years, it has grown into a dynamic foundation for students all over Gujarat, and even the country.

However, reviews from current students can prove to be very important to judge the quality of any institution. All institutions go through management and infrastructural changes, some of which may negatively or positively affect their credibility. Let’s look at what Students of DAIICT have to say about their college:

How do the Overall Ratings of DAIICT look like?

On CollegeBol.com, students are asked to rate their college into different categories such as faculty, employability, infrastructure, etc. These ratings are from 1 to 10 (10 being the best), and it can be a huge challenge. Looking at the ratings provided by the DAIICT students for 2016, you’ll notice that a huge confidence has been displayed on Employability. On CollegeBol.com, users have shown great importance to Placements and Jobs when it comes to selecting a college in India. Hence in that sense, DAIICT has good enough backing by its own students. Hostel has received a lower rating.

How are the Placements at DAIICT?

Rajat Shah, a current student at DAIICT has covered almost all there is on the campus of DAIICT. You can specifically see that he writes about all the big companies of the IT sector such as Amazon, Flipkart, Morgan-Stanley, Deloitte, and Oracle visit the DAIICT campus to recruit fresh B.Tech graduates from campus through the Placement Cell. He also stresses that the Alumni Network of DAIICT is quite resourceful. The faculties, he says, are all PhDs and hence knowledgeable in their own fields.

What are the top things about Faculty, Course and Student Life?

This point-wise review gives us an idea about various aspects of DAIICT. As we can see, this student has written the review anonymously. The point about ‘No Donation’ is taken in the college has been highlighted in the first point itself. The student has frankly pointed out that a student has to seek help from the professors if they want to learn, which is something that is common in most Indian colleges.

I did not get into NIT but found hope in DAIICT

A lot of students compare about whether DAIICT is good enough compared to BITS and NIT. The reality is that not everyone gets a chance to get into these institutes of national importance. You need super high cut-offs to crack these colleges. And still, DAIICT requires higher cut-offs too. It is not considered as a cake walk in any sense. One might find hope in what they get eventually. Ajay Gaur shares his practical experience here.

DAIICT Student REVIEWS

A lot of times students compare DAIICT with ITNU, Nirma and PDPU but generally students describe vast differences in terms of approach and teaching methodologies in each of these institutions. What stays common is that these are some of the Top Engineering Colleges in Gujarat and hence see the best of the IT companies coming at their doorsteps for Campus Placements.

Are the basic Amenities available near the college?

DAIICT is based in Gandhinagar. The bus stand is very near to the college. The nearest airport is Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport, which is the Ahmedabad airport. It is about 15 km from the college. Though Gandhinagar has a railway station of its own, you might have to check if your particular train stops there. If not, Kalupur Railway station in Ahmedabad is about 25 kms away. Gandhinagar has been the hub of upcoming colleges starting from the New NID Campus to PDPU to NIFT to GNLU, you’ll find a lot of colleges nearby. Therefore, students don’t have to worry about the basic necessities.
